I’m loving the variation of ANA in-flight meals. It’s a tray-full with variations. The salad comes with cold sliced salmon along with Japanese mayo dressing. There’s bread, Anchor butter, plus Premium crackers and Kiri cheese. There’s also a gulp of cold veggie with red beans, corn, and other beans. It’s actually very tasty. For the main entree, a choice of Western and Japanese. I chose, probably, the Western one: mash potato with beef patty slathered with cream sauce. The sauce makes it very rich and heavy, like real heavy and full, complimented by a piece of broccoli and carrot. The meal also comes with Japanese bottled water and a beverage of your choice. This time I asked for whiskey coke mix. I was very full from the meal.
There’s always room for dessert! After lunch was served and eaten, the flight attendants gave us a cup of Haagen-Dazs Vanilla ice cream. Food heaven! It was so frozen that I had to wait 5 minutes (watching The Croods) before I can start enjoying it. nom nom nom
Breafkast was served a couple of hours prior to landing. Roll bread and Anchor butter to start with followed by the main entree (Western choice) of omelette, bacon (!), baked sliced potatoes with some tomato sauce. Very nice. Also some artfully cut fruits; apple, kiwi, and orange. Last but not least, Meiji yogurt. I chose green tea for my drink to wake myself up.
