UA 9661 – Operated by All Nippon Airways ANA – In-flight Meal Menu
Inside the menu – Meal Service options: Japanese or Western
Drink selections, all complimentary, including ANA’s own ‘Aromatic Kabasu’ which I can described as lime juic-y. The flight attendants mixed some pretty hard cocktails (heavier on the liquor than on the filler). Knocks you out nicely. Good for long haul flights 🙂
More details on the meals offered.
The usual drink and snack service starts about 1 hour after take off. Love their rice cracker mix. The drink there is their own ‘Aromatic Kabosu’.
I started with the Japanese option, as you can see, very comprehensive. I’ll let the picture do the explaining.
Japanese dinner option, main dish, up close. A very balanced meal of rice, chicken, and assorted vegetables.
The western dinner option was as good. The bread was less generic than the usual servings at other airlines offering. The main dish was a little heavy on the sauce but remembering that the taste buds needs more flavor on higher altitudes, I guess it helps.
There’s always room for dessert; Haagen-Dazs Vanilla ice-cream, with stealth spoon technology. Pretty efficient.
After dinner, lights are off and the FAs take a break. But they regularly provide snacks and drinks at the galley. I am impressed with the selection they offer. It was like a candy store, take all you want. Nice.
Two hours before landing, a lighter menu offering is provided as you can see.
