Taking advantage of Star Alliance Gold Status and taking off on my first flight with Thai Airways, I checked out their Royal Silk Lounge in Suvarnabhumi Bangkok International Airport BKK. It was relatively crowded in the morning time. Here are some of the photos I took.
One of the wings of BKK.
Signs pointing to Thai Royal First Lounge and Royal Silk Lounge. No trolley and no smoking allowed. A member of Star Alliance.
A view of the lounge with its long hallway layout.
Info on free wi-fi.
One of the many seating areas inside the lounge.
One row of reading materials.
Rows and rows of reading materials. Quite impressive.
Though the lounge was relatively crowded, the business area was deserted. It was the end of the year so I guess that explains the ‘crowd’ here.
Kids playing area.
Would you like some tea?
Or whatever concoction you want to make with these condiments…
Tomato and orange juice on tap.
Assorted canned drinks.
Fancy caffeine induced drinks maker. To the left is a mini fridge where milk and creamer can be found.
Fresh salad bar
More greens to choose from.
Thai-style sticky rice!
All sorts of bun! Warm and delicious!
A bun and a pastry
Green apples. Also Thai Airways has their own catering and it has its own website.
Fresh cut fruits. I love the colors!
